Sustainable Clothing
Sustainability is key and is incorporated in everything we do. Whether it’s recycling our scraps into new textiles or creating custom yarns from recycled components, we are rewriting the script on the traditional manufacturing model. By working hand in hand with our knit house, dye house and factories, Coterie has created a closed loop manufacturing model that reduces waste and minimizes our footprint.
Recycle
We had a responsibility to create a yarn that not only resulted in great garments, but also limited the amount of resources we used to keep our ecological footprint low. Coterie merchandise is made from recycled water bottles and post industrial cotton which are sourced domestically. By using recycled components vs. virgin textiles, we not only minimize our water, fuel and electricity footprint, we also eliminate thousands of pounds of new raw material waste.

By keeping our manufacturing local we are able to create clean, safe work environments for garment workers. Local manufacturing allows us to keep our footprint low. All steps of our manufacturing process from knitting, dying, cutting and sewing are done within a 5 mile radius. In a traditional manufacturing model, a t-shirt would travel over 16,000 miles from start to finish.
